Privacy Policy
Last updated 7 July 2026
LumaTrace is built to keep your work private. It has no account, collects no personal data, and sends nothing about you off your device. This policy explains exactly what that means.
The short version
- No account and no sign-in.
- No analytics, no tracking, and no advertising.
- Your designs, photos, and traced projects stay on your device.
- We do not collect, store, or sell any personal information.
What stays on your device
Everything you create or import, the designs you generate, the photos and files you bring in, and the positions of designs you lock in your room, is stored locally on your Apple Vision Pro. It is not uploaded to us or to any third party.
Camera, world sensing, and hand tracking
To place a design flush on a real wall or table and keep it steady while you trace, LumaTrace uses Apple's on-device world sensing (to detect surfaces) and, optionally, hand tracking (to fade a locked design where your hand works). This processing happens entirely on device through Apple's frameworks. LumaTrace never receives, stores, or transmits a camera feed, a scan of your room, or images of your hands.
Image generation
In-app design generation uses Apple Image Playground, which runs on your device. Prompts and generated images are handled by Apple's on-device system and are not sent to LumaTrace.
Subscriptions and payments
LumaTrace Pro is an auto-renewable subscription sold through Apple. Payments, billing, and subscription management are handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. We never see or store your payment details. Your free-tier usage counts are stored locally on your device only.
Children
LumaTrace does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children. Because it collects no data at all, there is nothing to collect regardless of age.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we will update this page and the date above. Material changes will be reflected here before they take effect.
